Welcome to Rocket AllStars Racing Series 2009/10

After a meeting between Rocket Industries management and ANDRA staff it has been confirmed that the two iconic organisations would continue their partnership in the Rocket All Stars Racing Series for the 2009/10 season, with the biggest total prize purse in the series’ history.

Rocket Industries is a name that has long been synonymous with ANDRA Championship Drag Racing and ANDRA CEO, Tony Thornton was enthusiastic about the continued association between the two brands. “I’m proud that we have a partner like Rocket Industries involved with our sportsman racing. Graeme Cowin and all of his staff at Rocket Industries are the standard in the industry and as ANDRA Championship Drag Racing continues to emerge on a corporate level, it’s great to cement our relationship with quality long term partners, such as Rocket."

Rocket Industries is a performance warehouse based in Sydney’s western suburbs. Headed by drag racing icon, Graeme Cowin, Rocket Industries distributes some of the biggest names in the aftermarket automotive sector.

Stocking over 250 different brands on the shelf, such as Weld Racing, Auto Meter, B&M, K&N Filters, MSD Ignition, World, Arias Pistons, Crower, Edelbrock, Holley, ARP and Mickey Thompson and Simpson, Rocket Industries can supply immediate delivery for almost anything.

The normally reserved Cowin explained “Rocket Industries is the result of Wendy (Graeme’s wife) and I investing in the sport of drag racing. We see the Rocket All Stars Racing Series as an opportunity to give something back to drag racing, especially to the sportsman racers.”

Cowin continues “Wendy and I started our drag racing in the sportsman ranks, and we know that it’s not always easy to fund your racing, so we’re glad to be able to contribute some support to the racers who compete at this level. As ANDRA Championship Drag Racing continues to grow, we have grown with them and our nvolvement with ANDRA gives Rocket an association with the Drag Racing industry.”

The 2009/10 Rocket All Stars Racing Series will again provide all ANDRA Sportsman racers with an opportunity to be rewarded financially for their efforts with its own end-of-season point score fund.

The Rocket All Stars Racing Series will see the top five point scorers in each of ANDRA''s Group Two, Three and Four brackets taking part of a large end of season purse worth over $50,000!

ANDRA CEO Tony Thornton adds “The prize pool is a substantial amount of money with total prize payouts now over $50,000.00. It’s certainly something that the Rocket All Stars Racing Series participants appreciate at the end of a successful season.”

The only requirement for the Rocket All Stars Racing Series is that it is compulsory for the racers to run the appropriate size Rocket All Stars Racing Series stickers in a visible location, i.e.: Not blocked by exhaust or body panels on both sides of their race car or bike for the duration of each round of the Rocket All Stars Racing Series that they contest. No purchase is necessary. Stickers will be available from the credentials staff at each round. If you require stickers, please see ANDRA staff at the event.
